Project Engineer
Job Description Summary
FIP Construction, Inc. is seeking a project engineer to join our team. Project Engineers are responsible for assisting project management and superintendents in the construction of industrial, commercial, institutional and healthcare projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with management team on project administration activities
- Assemble subcontractor bid packages
- Manage RFI and Submittal process
- Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules
- Effectively manage multiple vendors and subcontractors
- Procure required products, materials and equipment for projects
- Oversee and supervise construction progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments
- Track and update progress in various formats
- Assist in field operations and quality control
- Assist in project closeout procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, architecture, or related field
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to problem solve and strategize for optimal solutions
- Able to establish and maintain strong relationships within the construction industry
- Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project, Bluebeam and experience with Project Management software preferred
