Project Manager
Job Description Summary
FIP Construction, Inc. is seeking a construction project manager to join our team. Project Managers are responsible for project management of industrial, commercial, institutional and healthcare projects. Candidates must be capable of effective management of multiple projects with experience in estimating, scheduling, purchasing, cost control, subcontractor management and overall project planning.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish budgets, cost estimates, and other financial estimates
- Assemble subcontractor bid packages
- Perform constructability reviews
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Effectively manage multiple vendors and subcontractors
- Procure required products, materials and equipment for projects
- Establish and maintain project financials
- Provide financial reporting and projections
- Oversee and supervise construction progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments
- Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, architecture, or related field
- Minimum five years of project management experience
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Able to manage multiple projects, budgets and schedules
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of building construction systems and components
- Able to problem solve and strategize for optimal solutions
- Able to lead and teach others
- Able to establish and maintain strong relationships within the construction industry
- Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project, Bluebeam and experience with Project Management software preferred
